Citizen Journalism
The accepted fact is ‘All journalists are citizens but all citizens are not journalists’. With Citizen Journalism, we as normal citizens get a chance to be the journalists & tell the truth amongst a wider public through the platform of this website.
The truth has to be told; told aloud. There is a need to echo the real voice of the people then to listen to the stereotypical news-tellers. The manipulation has to be removed and the emphasis has to shift to real issues. As a citizen, we have a right to state our view. So come forward and write your experiences of good, bad, justice or injustice & let the World know about the real scenario.
Any contribution in the Citizen Journalism section reflect the views of the author only. The idea and content is the brainchild of the author. This section does not in any way reflect the view of the website.

Why Citizen Journalism?
The accepted rule is, converse is never true. Take for example, all journalists are citizens, but all citizens are not journalists. Why? Why cannot an ordinary citizen take up the added responsibility of making the society, making the environment and making the country a better place to live? We aim to do the exact same through this initiative of Citizen Journalism. Instead of being mere observers in the daily walk of life, let us be proud participators.
Let us come forth, unite and raise our voices against every social and political injustice, or injustice of any kind!.
The truth has to be told; told aloud. As a citizen, we have a right to state our view. To make a point, along with good writing; you also need a better platform which this website provides you.
There is a need to echo the real voice of the people then to listen to the irrelevant and stereotypical news makers. The manipulation has to be removed and the emphasis has to shift to real issues, and for that we have to take the lead.
When we have the constitutional right to freedom of expression, let us use it for a good cause. Sharing your thoughts and intellect on Citizen Journalism will make your message more prominent and effective.
Every citizen can come forth, share his/her experiences, or talk about the topics that draw their special attention. Why limit the role of raising awareness and creating a fair society only to journalists? This website is a platform to provide every citizen with the credibility to present their opinions to the masses.
You may be a young blood, a growing kid, an experienced senior citizen or an expert homemaker; all you need is an inner force and urge to articulate your thought. Arise India is there to nurture your thoughts ahead. The basic aim behind this initiative is to bring out a thought from a person. This place just does not ask for a degree to present the truth.
Through this initiative, you can cover any and every local event and take the concept of journalism beyond the few corporate media houses and monetary television channels. It could be an innovative thought, it could be a troubling issue, it could be a moving event, it could be an interview to cherish… anything but of nation’s interest. You can also point an issue that you think did not get the amount of significance. You can share it via different mediums; you can write either an article, news or an interview or you can just turn your camera on and share a relevant image.
Literature is something that will be read twice, but journalism is something that will be absorbed at once. In order to understand what power journalism has, it should be practiced. Citizen Journalism offers you a stage where you can raise your view with your pen. You can contribute your piece of writing on Citizen Journalism.
